Coach Tompkins
Ryan Tompkins is entering his 20th season at GCMS. Prior to being head coach he was the freshman coach at GCMS under Jack Cowgill for one season and spent two seasons as the 8th grade coach at GCMS. He also was a varsity asst. coach at Eureka HS under Tim Meiss. Tompkins is a 1994 graduate of GCMS and holds a history degree from Eureka College and a masters degree in educational leadership from Eastern Illinois University. Tompkins and his wife Misti live in Gibson City with their three children, Rylee (20), Reagan (17), and Reed (13).

Coach Richard
A.J. Richard returns to his Alma mater as a varsity assistant and brings with him head coaching experience at both the varsity and junior varsity level. AJ graduated from GCMS in 2003 as the all-time leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker and is the only 4-year letterwinner in school history. He continued his career at Eureka College earning four letters and being named to the SLIAC All-Conference team. Richard teaches at Rantoul High School while his wife is a teacher at GCMS where their oldest son Cache goes to kindergarten, their youngest son is Callen (3).

He is a 2012 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a degree in math education. He is currently teaching 8th grade math at GCMS Middle School and is also the head coach for the Fisher-GCMS Soccer Coop Program.

Coach Grauer enters his 1st season with the boys basketball program as the freshman coach. Coach Grauer is also a member of the GCMS Football staff and teaches physical education and drivers education at GCMS. He and his wife Stacey are graduates of Eureka College and their two sons are Awstace (18) and Ryker (14).
